Organic food, by definition, is food that is grown without the use of chemical herbicides or pesticides and do not contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). In the case of organic meats and animal products, the animals are raised “organically” when they are not given any additional antibiotics or growth hormones, and are given access to the outdoors.
